Between 11-13 October, the Azimap team broke the barriers between land and language to exhibit at Europe’s largest geospatial event INTERGEO, which took place in Hamburg.
INTERGEO, is the most influential trade event in the Geospatial calendar, attracting more than 17,000 delegates from around the world.
This three-day event provided delegates with the opportunity to talk to exhibitors and learn about the latest innovations which are transforming the GI sector.
The Azimap team were delighted to make our first appearance at this inaugural event, where we were represented by David McQuillan (Managing Director), Sean Cleary (Software Development Manager) and Michael McQuillan (Sales Executive).
Exhibiting at booth A1.057, the team effortlessly delivered personalised demonstrations of Azimap and showcased the advanced map creation, spatial analysis, visualisation and integration features. Our team also showcased, how Azimap is being used to visualise and analyse spatial data to support the development of smart cities and strategic planning within the public sector.
The feedback from delegates was extremely positive, with many remarking on ease of use, map creation and sharing features when compared to existing desktop or alternative web based GI solutions.
In addition to being kept busy at our booth, we were given the opportunity to share our experiences of how Azimap is being used within the public sector. The presentation which took place in the forum theatre provided us with the platform to showcase our skills and expertise, to a captivated audience.
Attendees to this presentation were either in the process of migrating from a proprietary desktop solution or considering migrating from a desktop GIS to a web based GIS. Throughout this presentation, David shared his experiences of how we transformed the GIS requirements of Kildare County Council by streamlining their process from data capture, visualisation, analysis and to publishing.
Exhibiting at INTERGEO, was an exciting milestone in the brand evolution and development of Azimap.
The team have return to HQ excited by the future, motivated by the positive feedback and determined to make the winter roadmap announcement extra special as we focus on developing the features and functionality which are important to our target audience.
INTERGEO, will continue to promote and provide a forum for the GI community to showcase its expertise in 2017, as the event moves to Berlin. However, for now we look forward to reconnecting with our new contacts and we plan to make 2017 an even bigger show.
