Founded by Ciara and David McQuillan in 2014 they have more than 30 years combined experience of the geospatial industry, gained from their time at Mallon Technology, which is one of Ireland’s most established geospatial companies.
It was during their time at Mallon Technology, that they identified both customers and employees were reliant on multiple software packages to visualise, analyse and publish their spatial data. This resulted in significant process and time inefficiencies and financial commitment from recurring software license fees. With customers seeking to streamline processes and control reoccurring costs, they struggled to identify a cloud based GIS which was both scalable and agile to consumer demands. Frustrated by this, they became motivated to tackle this issue by developing a solution which fulfilled the customer and team needs.
Cianad Software LTD, was then established and became the driving force behind Azimap.
